St. Michael Technical School, Surakarta, is a vocational high school (SMK) in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It is known by the acronym MICO (Michael's College). It is managed by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) and has two divisions: the Academy of Mechanical Engineering Industry (ATMI St. Michael) and Michael Vocational High School (SMK St. Michael). St. Michael is supported by the Karya Bakti Foundation Surakarta which also supports ATMI Surakarta and ATMI Cikarang.

St. Mikael SMK was originally called STM Canisius, founded in 1962 by Jesuit Fr. Wakkers with two departments, general engineering and construction. The Director General of Primary and Secondary Education through No. 001 / c / Kep / 1.86 made SMK a private STM with accreditation status, the first such school in Central Java.

Currently the school offers only the mechanical machining skills program (machine tools) with two specializations, mechanics and design. It has striven to improve the quality of its graduates by requiring more time at mechanical practices and drafting along with other studies as the needs of the work may require: Total Block System, Production Based Education and Training, and Capacity and Market Orientation. Orientation practice has three classes, quality, efficiency, and production along with advanced technology.

Beginning in 2009 the mechanical engineering specialty requires programming using CAM software, while drafting gives students facility in designing using 3D drawing software (Solid work and Inventor). The factory has also added a 3-axis CNC pocket milling machine and a CNC 4-axis lathe.

SMK St. Mikael has more than 2,500 alumni, working mostly in industry -- private, government, or self-employed.
